ATTENTION ALL PLAYERS
PLANNING TO TRY OUT FOR COMPETITIVE TEAMS!
The indoor facility at Beckwith
Park is not yet ready, so tryouts will NOT start
on Tuesday, March 20 as originally planned. Tryouts are now
scheduled to start Saturday, March 24. We hope that the indoor
facility will be ready for that date, but if not we will conduct
the first tryout sessions in high school gyms. Most sessions are
on the same days and times as previously scheduled, but there
have been a few minor changes.
– Peter Menyasz, Club Head Coach
March
14, 2007 – As a result of the delays in completing the new
indoor facility we will not be able to offer any leagues or
recreational development programs this season. Any cheques
submitted for these programs will not be cashed.
February 28, 2007 - Youth Competitive Team Try-out Schedule
has now been posted. Carleton Place Soccer Club (CPSC) and
Almonte Soccer Club (ASC) are fielding combined teams in the U9
– U13 age groups under the name Mississippi United for the 2007
outdoor season. Each club will also field separate teams in the
U14 – U18 age groups. In cases where both clubs offer a team in
these older age groups, players should try out with their
respective club. In cases where only one club offers a team in
an age group, players from both clubs are encouraged to try out.
January 29, 2007 -
Fellow coaches! As much as the cold weather
outside suggests otherwise, the summer 2007 soccer season is
just around the corner. This year, particularly because of the
U-10 through -13 competitive teams we will jointly operate with
the Almonte Soccer Club, we will follow a more formal process
for coaching assignments.
All individuals interested in coaching a team this summer should
please fill out one of the attached forms and forward it to me
as quickly as possible, preferably by return e-mail. Please fill
out the appropriate form as completely as possible . . . one
reason for the applications to ensure that the Club has the most
up-to-date information possible on your coordinates (telephone
numbers and particularly e-mail addresses) and certification
levels.
If you are
interested in only being a Head Coach or only being an Assistant
Coach, please indicate this in the “Comments” area of the form.
Otherwise, I will assume that you are interested in being the
Head Coach of the specified team(s) and are willing to accept an
Assistant Coach assignment if that position is already filled.
Please let me know if there are any coaches you’d prefer to work
with.
Please note
that there are two forms:
1. 2007 Joint Teams Coaches
Application.doc – for those applying to coach joint Carleton
Place/Almonte teams. Teams are available at:
a. U-10 Boys & U-10
Girls
b. U-11 Boys Premier,
U-11 Boys Division 1 & U-11 Girls Premier, U-11 Girls
Division 1
c. U-12 Boys Division 1
& U-12 Girls Division 1
d. U-13 Boys Division 1
& U-13 Girls Premier, U-13 Girls Division 1
2. 2007 Coaches
Application.doc – for those applying to coach Carleton Place
only teams. Teams are available at:
a. U-14 Boys Division 1
& U-14 Girls Division 1
b. U-15 Boys Division 1
& U-15 Girls Division 1
c. U-16 Boys Division 1
& U-16 Girls Premier
d. U-18 Girls Premier
Please note
that all applicants for head coaching positions with competitive
teams will be interviewed this year. Applicants for assistant
coaching positions may be called in for interviews, particularly
if there are more applicants than available positions. For
applicants for joint Carleton Place/Almonte teams, the
interviews will be conducted by a panel representing both clubs.
If you have
any questions about the form or the process, please don’t
hesitate to contact me by return e-mail or by telephone at
613-253-3201. Also, please feel free to forward this e-mail to
anyone who you believe might be interested . . . they may
already be on the recipient list for this e-mail, but it’s far
better that they receive a duplicate message than not being
aware.
Thank you
very much for your commitment of time and energy to help our
players learn and succeed in soccer!
– Peter Menyasz, Club
Head Coach, Carleton Place Soccer Club
